At least 11 people were injured when a grenade exploded in the southern Philippine province of Sultan Kudarat, local police said Sunday.

An unidentified suspect hurled a grenade near a gasoline station along the national highway in Isulan town Saturday night, the Police Regional Office said.(Philippines-Blast)

YANGON -- At least 94 bodies have been recovered on Sunday two days after a giant amount of dump soil from a jade mine collapsed in Myanmar's northernmost Kachin state.

The landslide, which occurred early Friday, buried about 80 households in Sankhatku village in Hpakant town when local miners were sleeping near the dump soil.(Myanmar-Landslide)

JERUSALEM -- Two Palestinians were killed after allegedly trying to attack Israelis in the West Bank on Sunday, the Israeli military and police said.

In the first incident, a Palestinian woman, armed with a knife, tried to stab two women at a bus stop near the Jewish settlement of Itamar, southwest of Nablus in the West Bank, the Israeli military said.(Israel-Palestinians)

MOSCOW -- Russia declared a state of emergency in Crimea after electricity pylons were blown up with the complete cutoff of power supply to the peninsula from Ukraine, the RIA Novosti news agency reported Sunday.

KABUL -- Afghan security forces backed by aircraft in crackdown against militants have killed 61 armed insurgents from Taliban and the Islamic State (IS), or Daesh groups, in the troubled southern and eastern parts of the conflict-ridden country over the past days, officials said Sunday.
