Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Bohuslav Sobotka is to conduct a formal visit to China on Nov. 22-27, during which he will also attend the fourth leaders' meeting of China and Central and Eastern European countries.

Below is a profile of Prime Minister Sobotka:

Sobotka was born in October 1971 in Brno. He graduated from Masaryk University with a Master's Degree.

He once served as finance minister of the Czech Republic, and has been leader of the Czech Social Democratic Party since 2011.

Sobotka became prime minister of the Czech Republic in January 2014. Endi
