Slovak, Romanian presidents stress EU solidarity

Xinhua, November 19, 2015 Adjust font size:

Labelling people of different religions as a potential threat doesn't safeguard the security of any country, Slovak President Andrej Kiska and Romanian President Klaus Werner Iohannis stressed during their meeting here on Wednesday.

"Stirring up fear and hatred among people is exactly what the terrorists want to accomplish," warned Kiska.

According to Iohannis, it's important that the EU strengthens its effort to cooperate in terms of better supervision and protection of its external borders. He added that solidarity is also important.

"Terrorism has severe consequences if the reaction is fear," emphasized Iohannis. Endit
