Japan expresses concern over shortage of essentials in Nepal

Xinhua, November 18, 2015 Adjust font size:

Japan expressed concern Wednesday over the present shortage of essential materials, especially fuel and petroleum products in Nepal.

In a press release, the Japanese Embassy in Kathmandu expressed its worry over the crisis impacting the daily lives of people.

"The fuel shortage is preventing post-earthquake relief community including the international organizations and NGOs from effectively conducting their humanitarian activities towards the affected areas," the statement said.

"We will continue to actively support Nepal's reconstruction efforts to 'Build Back Better' from the earthquake disaster," the statement added. Endite
