China tied Hong Kong 0-0 at the half time in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Asian Zone Group C qualifier here on Tuesday.

   China controlled the game and kept offensive in the first half. In the 27th minute, Yang Xu's goalmouth header hit the crossbar. Huang Bowen also created a great chance in the 40th minute but his effort was denied by the post.

   The Hong Kong team created a few chances and its keeper made several saves to keep a clean sheet for his side.

   China now stay third in Group C behind leaders Qatar and Hong Kong. China need to win their remaining matches to keep alive their hopes of advancing to the next phase as one of the four best second-placed teams in eight groups.  Endi
