Singapore stocks close 0.34 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 9.95 points, or 0.34 percent, to close at 2,915.73.

A total of 1.2 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 937.9 million Singapore dollars (660.5 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 248 to 175, while 510 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 33.33 points, or 1.13 percent, to close at 2,925.68 on Friday. Endit
