Hungary beat Norway for European Championship's place

Xinhua, November 16, 2015 Adjust font size:

Hungary beat Norway 2-1 here to secure a

coveted slot in the 2016 European Championship, which will be played in France from June 10 to July 10 next year.

Hungary had defeated Norway 1-0 in Oslo on Thursday in the first leg.

Tamas Priskin's splendid goal in 14th minute gave Hungary an early lead. Norway's Markus Henriksen handled the ball into his own goal in 83rd minute, doubling Hungary's advantage. Henriksen made amends to score a goal four minutes late, but it's not enough to save the match.

This will be Hungary's first appearance in a major tournament since 1986 and its first European Championship since 1972. Endi
