Singapore strongly condemns heinous attacks in Paris: Lee Hsien Loong

Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has written to his French counterpart Manuel Valls to convey condolences and strongly condemns the "heinous attacks" in Paris, said Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) on Sunday.

PM Lee wrote that he offered the deepest condolences to the families of the victims of the multiple terrorist attacks in Paris on behalf of the government of Singapore.

"I am deeply saddened by the loss of so many innocent lives. This is an attack on our shared humanity," said PM Lee.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims and the French people during this difficult time."

PM Lee reiterated that Singapore strongly condemns these heinous attacks, and support the French government's efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Singapore's President Tony Tan Keng Yam, Minister for Foreign Affairs Vivian Balakrishnan also wrote to French leaders to convey condolences, according to MFA's statement on Saturday. Enditem
