Three local officials under investigation

Three officials from Tianjin and Guangdong Province are being investigated for corruption, the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) said on Thursday.

Hebei provincial procuratorate has been designated by the SPP to investigate two officials with the public security bureau of Tianjin, on suspicion of taking bribes.

The two suspects are Shao Yuanhe, former director of the police affairs guarantee department of the public security bureau in Tianjin, and Xu Guoqun, former party chief of the traffic management bureau of the city.

Guangdong provincial procuratorate has decided to investigate Liao Feng, deputy party chief of Maoming City in Guangdong Province.

Liao has been placed under "coercive measures" which include summons by force, bail, residential surveillance, detention and arrest. Endi
