Aussie dollar trades in tight range above 70 U.S. cents

The Australian dollar is slightly lower though trading within a tight range in a relatively quiet night for all forex traders, despite ongoing weakness in commodities.

At 0630 AEDT on Thursday, the currency was trading at 70.58 US cents, down from 70.64 cents on Wednesday.

The Australian dollar is expected to have some volatility in today's trade when Australia's labour market report is released, with market consensus of 15,000 jobs added, keeping the unemployment rate steady.

At 0932 local time (AEDT), the Australian dollar was trading at 70.62 U.S. cents.Endit
