China Hushen 300 index futures close higher Monday

China's Hushen 300 index futures ended higher on Monday, with the contract for November, the most actively traded, up 0.85 percent to close at 3,775.4 points.

The December contract gained 1.15 percent to close at 3,691.2 points and the March 2016 contract climbed 2.79 percent to end at 3,616.8 points. The June 2016 contract jumped 3.03 percent to 3,550.2 points.

The stock-index contracts, agreements to buy or sell the Hushen 300 Index at a preset value on an agreed date, are designed to allow investors to bet on and profit from either gains or declines in the market.

The index futures was launched at the China Financial Futures Exchange (CFFEX) and started trading from April 16, 2010. The CFFEX has set the base value for all the four contracts at 3,399 points. Endi
