Randolph Morris' team-high 32 points brought the first victory in the season to Beijing in a second-round game of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Friday.

The defending champion's Stephon Marbury scored 14 points, and also contributed 6 assists to the team. Although Jilin's Marcus Williams scored the game-high 35 points, Jilin failed to get past their old rival which they had been defeated 3-0 in last season's playoffs.

Beijing, who lost to Xinjiang in the season's opening night, they almost took full control of the game. The capital-based team led Jilin 19 points before the half time, and Jilin had no way to turn the result in their favor and had to taste its first loss on home soil.

The team who won third place last season, Guangdong smashed Foshan 127-100 and caught their first victory as Beijing did tonight. Yi Jianlian got 17 points, 6 rebounds, and Will Bynum snatched 21 points, 3 steals. They will face Shanghai two days later.

Elsewhere, Xinjiang beat Tongxi 120-96, Shandong crashed Shanxi 117-93, and Guangsha edged Fujian 119-110.  Endi
