Singapore stocks close 0.44 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 13.18 points, or 0.44 percent, to close at 3,010.47.

A total of 1.1 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 743.3 million Singapore dollars (531 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 225 to 165, while 542 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 16.83 points, or 0.55 percent, to close at 3,023.65 on Thursday. Endit
