Nigeria's U-20 women's national team head coach Peter Dedevbo on Tuesday expressed the players' readiness to overcome South Africa in the return leg of the FIFA World Cup qualifier on Nov. 7.

"As you can see we are on the verge of finalizing our preparations. We are ready," Dedevbo said in Abuja, Nigeria's capital city after the team's morning training session at the National Stadium.

"We have intensified our preparations right from the day after our match against South Africa here (in Nigeria) and generally, we are working on every department, the goalkeeping, the defense, the midfield and the attack. So far, we have done a very good job on the team," the coach said.

The Falconets won the first leg 2-1 on Oct. 24 in Abuja.

Nigeria will qualify for the 2016 World Cup scheduled to be held in Papua New Guinea if it wins the Nov. 7 encounter on aggregate points.

The winner of the other encounter between Ethiopia and Ghana is also to represent Africa at the World Cup in Papua New Guinea

Nigeria thrashed Liberia 14-1 on aggregate in the first round and defeated DR Congo 4-1 on aggregate in the second round of the qualifying series. Endi
