The Miami Heat rallied from 21-point second-half down to beat the Houston Rockets 109-89 Sunday night.

Hassan Whiteside had 25 points and 15 rebounds, Dwyane Wade scored 20 points and Luol Deng finished with 14. Tyler Johnson scored 11, Chris Bosh had all of his 10 points in the fourth and Justise Winslow added 10 for the Heat.

The Heat suffered a 65-44 deficit early in the second half before outscoring Houston 65-24 the rest of the way.

Marcus Thornton scored 21 points for Houston. Dwight Howard sat out to rest on the first night of a back-to-back. James Harden got a cold hand, grabbing 16 points on 2-for-15 shooting and had 0-for-10 on 3-pointers. The Rockets have lost their first three games by exactly 20 points each.

"We have not played well all preseason. We have not played well in the first three games," Rockets coach Kevin McHale said. "No one feels sorry for us. We just have got to go out and find our rhythm and keep on playing." Endi
