Xinhua, October 30, 2015 Adjust font size:

A U.S. nuclear-powered aircraft carrier visited South Korea's southern port city of Busan on Friday after conducting joint maritime exercises with South Korea's navy forces, the United States Forces Korea (USFK) said.

The 104,200-ton USS Ronald Reagan arrived in a Busan port on Friday morning to stay for six days through Nov. 4, marking the supercarrier's third visit to the port.

The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier was accompanied by a guided-missile cruiser USS Chancellorsville, guided-missile destroyers USS Curtis Wilbur, USS Fitzgerald and USS Mustin.

Around 5,500 crew members of the warships will have an opportunity to visit and engage with their South Korean navy partners and conduct an exchange with the people of South Korea, the USFK said in a statement.

The U.S. battleships came to the port after conducting joint maritime exercises with the South Korean navy forces and warships in the East Sea over the week. Enditem
