CPC stresses legal development

Xinhua, October 29, 2015 Adjust font size:

China's leaders have stressed following a key meeting that the law must be adhered to in pursuing the country's development.

"Development should be boosted by using legal ways of thinking and legal means," according to a communique issued after the Fifth Plenary Session of the 18th Communist Party of China Central Committee, which aims to set the country's economic and social development agenda for the next five years.

To achieve this end, the CPC should ensure it governs in accordance with the Constitution and laws and manages the Party in accordance with its own rules, the document said.

CPC committees at all levels should learn the law, and the Party must show innovation in maintaining ties with the people to maintain social harmony and stability, it said. Endi
