Xinhua, October 29, 2015 Adjust font size:

The number of refugees who have arrived in Slovenia since Oct. 17 surpassed 100,000 on Thursday, when over 5,000 people entered the country in the early morning, according to the latest figures issued by Slovenian police.

The total number of arrivals since Hungary sealed off its border at midnight on Oct. 17, diverting the refugee flow through Slovenia, stood at 102,757 by 6 a.m. (0500 GMT) Thursday, the Slovenian Press Agency (STA) reported.

The STA report quoted the official statistics as saying that around 11,500 refugees were stationed at registration and accommodation centers across the country so far on Thursday morning, with over 4,000 residing in the tent city of Sentilj on the border with Austria.

Three trains from Croatia were reported to have arrived at the Slovenian border crossing of Dobova during the night and morning hours. All were announced by Croatian authorities beforehand, police said. Endit
