Tokyo shares open lower tracing declines in U.S. market

Tokyo issues opened slightly lower as sentiment here was weighed down by overnight declines in the U.S. market.
At 9:15 a.m. (local time), the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 48.43 points, or 0.26 percent, from Monday to 18,898.69.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 5.30 points, or 0.34 percent, at 1,553.69. Enditem
