Germany's benchmark DAX index little changed

The benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Monday was little changed and added merely 6.8 points.

The blue-chip DAX index rallied and went up by more than 300 points on Friday. The trading on Monday, was lackluster, according to local analysts. It closed at 10,801.34 points.

The utilities company RWE AG St led the risers' list with a 1.51 percent increase. Fresenius SE & Co. KGaA, a health care company, advanced by 1.36 percent. Deutsche Lufthansa AG climbed by 1.33 percent. Vonovia SE, a residential real estate company, rose by 1.21 percent and Deutsche Boerse AG went up by 0.77 percent.

Continental AG plunged by 1.47 percent. ThyssenKrupp AG dropped by 1.46 percent. Deutsche Bank AG lost 1.37 percent. Henkel AG & Co. KGaA Vz, which operates in three areas laundry and home care, beauty care and adhesive technologies, slipped by 0.71 percent and Volkswagen AG Vz slid by 0.65 percent.

The turnover stood at 2.92 billion euros (around 3.22 billion U.S. dollars). Daimler AG was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 279.35 million euros (around 307.72 million U.S. dollars). Endit
