Chinese state councilor meets Danish FM

Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi met with Danish Foreign Minister Kristian Jensen in Beijing on Monday.

Yang said China attaches great importance to the two countries' comprehensive strategic partnership and that they have cooperated well in recent years.

China is willing to make joint efforts with Denmark to strengthen their ties, he said.

According to Jensen, Denmark attaches great importance to its ties with China, sticks to the one-China policy, and is ready to cooperate more with China and hold more people-to-people exchanges, and also participate in the "Belt and Road" initiative proposed by China.

Jensen is paying an official visit to China from Oct. 25 to 27 at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. Endi
