2 police, 4 IS militants killed in raid in southern Turkey

Two policemen and four Islamic State (IS) militants were killed early Monday in a police raid on in southern Turkey, private Dogan News Agency reported.

The operation, in Kayapinar, a town in Diyarbakir province, is still going on, the report said.

Turkey has beefed up security around the country since Oct. 10, when two suicide bombings hit the capital of Ankara, killing 102 people and injuring many others.

Authorities said the IS was the prime suspect the country's deadliest terror attack in history. Endit
