Bangladesh police arrest three suspects over murder of Italian national

Xinhua, October 26, 2015 Adjust font size:

The Bangladeshi police said on Monday they have arrested three key suspects in connection with the murder of an Italian national in the country.

"We've arrested three main suspects over the murder of the Italian national and seized a motor cycle with its owner," said Joint Commissioner Monirul Islam of the Detective Branch of the Bangladesh Police.

But he could not tell immediately whether the arrested persons are members of a militant group, adding that senior police officers will give details at a press briefing.

The Italian national named Tavela Ceaser was shot dead at about 7:00 p.m. (local time) on Sept. 28 in Dhaka's diplomatic enclave Gulshan.

The Italian man, 50, has been working for an international organization. Enditem
