Fire at a karaoke bar earlier Sunday in Manado city of North Sulawesi in central Indonesia left 12 people dead and 71 others injured, senior official at local disaster management agency said.

The victims were found at the second and third floor of a building located on Boulevard street, Kristian Lautonga, head of emergency unit of the local disaster management agency told Xinhua by phone.

"The fire occurred before down. Some 12 people were killed and 71 others were injured. The wounded have been rushed to hospitals," Lautonga said. Enditem
