Zambian trainer names 20 players for Mozambique CHAN tie

Head trainer of the Zambia national soccer team George Lwandamina has named a 20-member squad to face Mozambique in a 2016 African Nations Championship (CHAN) match on Sunday, the country's soccer governing body said on Friday.

The Chipolopolo will face the Mambas on Sunday at the Machava Stadium in the Mozambican capital, Maputo for the first round, second leg tie of the 2016 CHAN tournament.

Zambia beat Mozambique 3-0 in the first tie.

According to a statement posted on the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) website, the trainer has dropped four players namely Danny Munyao, Kayawe Kapota, Solomon Sakala and Kennedy Mudenda for the Mozambique tie but has included three players who missed the first round.

The new players include Moses Phiri, Mwila Phiri and Mwape Mwelwa.

Meanwhile, the trainer told local media that the team is 100 percent ready for the match and that the technical bench has done its work to prepare the team.

The trainer he was not under pressure to qualify the team to the CHAN tournament to be hosted by Rwanda in January next year but that destiny will decide the team's qualification. Endit
