Dollar trades in upper 120 yen range in early Tokyo deals

The U.S. dollar traded in the upper 120 yen range early Friday in Tokyo on speculation the European Central Bank will conduct additional credit easing.

At 9 a.m. local time, the dollar was quoted at 120.89-90 yen compared with 120.61-71 yen in New York and 119.68-70 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Thursday.

The euro fetched 1.1082-1083 dollars and 133.98-99 yen against 1.1104-1114 dollars and 134.04-14 yen in New York and 1.1311-1313 dollars and 135.37-41 yen in Tokyo late Thursday afternoon. Endit
