Croatian, Serbian interior ministers to discuss refugee-related issues

Croatian Interior Minister Ranko Ostojic said on Thursday he would meet his Serbian counterpart Nebojsa Stefanovic at the border shared by the two countries on Friday to discuss refugee-related issues.
"I expect concrete agreements because we still have people freezing in Bapska, (border area between Croatia and Croatia) which is unnecessary. Things can be organized better," said Ostojic.
He said he hoped Slovenia would change the registration model of refugees in order to let them pass through.
"Refugees are also registered in Croatia and allowed to carry on their journey," he said.
Croatia had suggested that its trains take the refugees on directly to Sentilj in north Slovenia near the Austrian border, he added.
On Thursday, Croatian Foreign Minister Vesna Pusic said the country tried to have an agreement with Slovenia on refugees, but that it was impossible given 7,000 to 8,000 people enter Croatia daily out of which 2,500 move on to Slovenia. Endit
