Xinhua, October 22, 2015 Adjust font size:

Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer on Wednesday announced that it got new orders from SkyWest, the American airlines, for making 19 new E175 airplanes for the latter.

In accordance with an agreement signed between the two sides, the aircrafts will be used by Delta Air Lines, a major American airline and also a partner of SkyWest, said Embraer in a press release.

Each plane, with a cost of around 45 million U.S. dollars, will be equipped with 76 seats divided into two sections. The first plane will be delivered in the third quarter of 2016.

SkyWest also placed orders with Embraer in September for having another 18 E175 planes made, which will be operated by SkyWest Airlines.

Embraer is the world's third largest aircraft manufacturer after Boeing and Airbus. It had an orders book of 22.1 billion U.S. dollars in the third quarter of 2015, with 51 aircraft deliveries altogether, according to Embraer. Endit
