Xinhua, October 21, 2015 Adjust font size:

Indonesian President Joko Widodo said on Wednesday that the government will launch the 5th economic stimulus measure Thursday to boost investment and revive economy.

"Tomorrow (Thursday), we will announce the fifth economic stimulus package," President Widodo said at the State Palace.

The president asked the country's economic team chaired by Economic Chief Minister Darmin Nasution to regularly, namely every 1 or 2 weeks, issue deregulation policies to boost investment climate.

Indonesia has launched four packages of economic stimulus since September.

Rupiah has plunged to the lowest since 1998 against the greenback, and it was traded at 13,696 on Wednesday, according to the central bank website.

The Indonesian economy expanded at the slowest pace in six years at the first and second quarters, 4.71 percent and 4.67 percent, respectively. Enditem
