Chinese VP encourages senior scientists to boost innovation

Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao on Tuesday called on senior scientists to continue making contributions to the country's scientific and technological progress.

Senior scientists have played a very important role in boosting innovation and cultivating talent, Li said at a conference held by China Assiociation of Senior Scientists and Technicians in Beijing.

The assiociation founded in 1986 has more than 1.1 million members.

The vice president encouraged all senior scientists to support mass entrepreneurship and innovation, offer valuable advice on scientific reform as well as help young scientists make progress. Endi
