Singapore stocks close 0.18 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 5.47 points, or 0.18 percent, to close at 3,019.03.

A total of 2.52 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 934.9 million Singapore dollars (672.6 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 217 to 211, while 503 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 6.11 points, or 0.20 percent, to close at 3,024.50 on Monday. Enditem
