Vietnam grouped with Iran, Tajikistan, Saudi Arabia in AFC U-19 Championship

Vietnam has been grouped with Iran, Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia at the 2016 AFC U-19 Championship finals in Bahrain next year, the Vietnam Football Federation said Saturday.

The federation has awarded 300 million Vietnamese dong (over 13,300 U.S. dollars) to the U-19 Vietnam for their top finish in Group G of the tournament's qualifiers.

The 2016 AFC U-19 Championship finals will run from Oct. 13-30 next year. Following is the draw for groups:

Group A - hosts Bahrain, DPR Korea, defending champions Qatar, Uzbekistan

Group B - China, Japan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates

Group C - South Korea, Iraq, Australia, Yemen

Group D - Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Tajikistan. Endit
