IMF revises Albanian economic growth downward to 2.7 pct in 2015

In the World Economic Outlook released Wednesday by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Albanian economic growth in 2015 was revised downward at 2.7 percent compared to 3 percent in the previous assessment in July.

The growth of Albanian economy in 2015 is below the average figure projected for the group of emerging and developing European countries, which is forecast at 3 percent.

The other countries and regions included in the group are: Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Hungary, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Poland, Romania and Turkey.

According to the October "World Economic Outlook," the IMF projected the GDP of Albania to increase 3.4 percent in 2016. Endit
