Chicago agricultural commodities futures market closes higher

Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) corn, wheat and soybeans all settled higher Monday.

The most active corn contract for December delivery added 4.25 cents, or 1.09 percent, to settle at 3.935 U.S. dollars per bushel. December wheat delivery gained 2.25 cents, or 0.44 percent, to close at 5.155 dollars per bushel. November soybeans advanced 10 cents, or 1.14 percent, to close at 8.8425 dollars per bushel.

Analysts said that corn and soybeans all gained Monday on technical buying ahead of key report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Soybeans also found some support from better-than-expectated official datas, according analysts, as the USDA said Monday that soybeans export inspections were 1.12 million metric tons till the week of Oct.1, compared to 0.54 million metric tons for the previous week.

Wheat finished slightly higher Monday as the crop was supported by the corn and soybeans, according to analysts. Endit
