Bangladeshi police arrest five militant suspects

Bangladesh police on Monday arrested five suspected members of the banned Jamaatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in the southeastern seaport city of Chittagong.

Babul Akter, additional deputy commissioner (Detective Branch) of the Chittagong Metropolitan Police, told journalists, "Five suspected members of JMB were detained and nine grenades were seized from their possession in Chittagong on Monday evening."

He said law enforcers also seized a pistol and 120 rounds of bullets and some bomb-making materials in the drive in Chittagong city, some 242 km southeast of Dhaka. Endi
