Over 113 African immigrants arrive at southwest coast of Spain on Monday

A total of 113 African immigrants, the majority from Morocco, arrived off the southwest coast of Spain in the early hours of Monday morning.
The Spanish Maritime Rescue Services confirmed that the immigrants arrived in five different boats to the coast in the province of Cadiz and that among the arrivals there are at least nine children and two women.
A total of 81 of the arrivals were lifted off the boats they were traveling in at sea, while the remainder made it to shore after being intercepted by the Spanish Civil Guard.
All of the immigrants are reported to be in good condition after their voyage and have been taken to various Civil Guard barracks while authorities begin the necessary repatriation procedure.
The arrivals end a busy weekend for Spain's Maritime Rescue Services, which rescued around 300 would-be immigrants over the weekend.
Saturday saw 188 people lifted from seven dinghies close to the ports of Almeria and Motril in the southeast of Spain. The majority of the arrivals on those boats were from the Maghreb and Sub-Saharan Africa.
On Saturday, 87 Sub-Saharan immigrants were able to cross into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta (on the north coast of Morocco) after forcing their way through a frontier post. Endit
