Air Malta partakes in donation raising for breast cancer

Xinhua, October 2, 2015 Adjust font size:

Air Malta's cabin crew is distributing pink ribbons and collecting donations from passengers on selected flights throughout October in support of international breast cancer awareness month.

The Air Malta initiative aims to assist Europa Donna Malta (breast care support group). Meanwhile, the global health campaign is organized by major breast cancer charities around the world.

The goal of the fundraising campaign is to help increase awareness of the disease, its early detection, as well as support for breast cancer patients.

Air Malta customer staff will themselves be wearing pink ribbons this month.

Europa Donna Malta is an NGO which has been active since 1989. Its mission is to raise awareness and support patients and families experiencing breast cancer. Throughout the year, the group organizes awareness campaigns and holds talks in schools and different workplaces. Endit
