French stock market index down 0.31 pct on Tuesday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 dropped slightly by 0.31 percent to close at 4,343.73 points on Tuesday, down 13.32 points.

With the drop of raw material prices, the CAC 40 of Paris closed lower on Tuesday with 24 of the 40 selected companies experiencing decrease.

The three companies whose stocks dropped most on Tuesday were Orange, down 2.11 percent, Accor, down 2.03 percent, and Veolia Environnement, down 1.69 percent.

The top three gainers on Tuesday were Lafargeholcim Ltd, up 2.20 percent, Technip, up 2.16 percent, and Peugeot, up 1.89 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 strongly sank by 2.76 percent close at 4,357.05 points, down 123.61 points. Endit
