Hosts China and the Philippines enjoyed victory on Tuesday to book top places in Group E and F respectively at FIBA Asian Championship.

China breezed past Qatar 89-65 to win the sixth straight game, becoming the only team undefeated at the tournament.

The host team went in front by as many as 16 points in the first half and 28 for the game as they clinched first place in Group F. China therefore set up a quarter-final meeting against India, the fourth-placed team in Group E.

China got some easy points, scoring 16 in transition to none for Qatar. The tournament hosts, getting 32 points in the paint compared to just 12 for Qatar, shot 51.4 percent inside the arc for the contest.

All 12 Chinese players got minutes and five of them hit double-digits in points. Point guard Guo Ailun was a model of effeciency, making four of his five shots from the floor and scoring 11 points while also handing out three assists.

The Philippines boosted in the second half to blow past India 99-65 and topped Group E. Terrence Romeo led six Filipino players in double-digits scoring with 20 points, while Andray Blatche added 15.

The Philippines are at first place in Group E and will take on Group F No. 4 Lebanon on Thursday.

Lebanon snapped a two-game losing skid by edging Jordan 80-76 to claim the final quarter final spot. Lebanon was in front by 18 points three minutes into the second half. Jordan dug in and shaved points off the deficit until the very end, closing the gap to just three points. But they came up a couple of plays short of completing the comeback.

Amir Saoud came off the bench and led the Cedars with 20 points while Jordan got a game high 24 from Alex Legion.

Defending champion Iran returned to wining ways after a heartbreaking loss to the Philippines on Monday, demolishing Palestine 94-48.

Because of the loss to Philippines, Iran had to take the second place of Group E, which meant that the West Asian giant will meet 2014 Asian Games champion South Korea on Thursday's quarter final.

South Korea finished third in Group F after beating Kazakhstan 79-63. Endi
