LME base metals mostly decline on Monday

The base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed lower mostly on Monday.
Profits of China's major industrial firms declined 8.8 percent year on year in August, which widened from a 2.9 percent decline in July, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Monday.
Besides, the market is paying close attention to the U.S. monetary policy. Federal Reserve chair Janet Yellen still intended to raise its benchmark interest rate this year.
The three-month unofficial copper price dropped 89 U.S. dollars, or 1.76 percent, to 4,956 dollars per tonne.
The three-month unofficial aluminium price lost 24 dollars, or 1.53 percent, to 1,549 dollars a tonne.
The three-month unofficial lead price lost 36 dollars, or 2.14 percent, to 1,645 dollars a tonne.
Besides, the three-month unofficial zinc price lost 24 dollars, or 1.46 percent, to 1,620 dollars a tonne.
The three-month unofficial nickel price lost 100 dollars, or 1.01 percent, to 9,812.5 dollars a tonne.
The three-month unofficial tin price increased 165 dollars, or 1.09 percent, to 15,265 dollars a tonne. Endit
