Qatar upset South Korea 69-63 at Asian Men's Basketball Championship

Qatar came from behind to defeat South Korea 69-63 at 2015 Asian Men's Basketball Championship here on Monday.

South Korea enjoyed a 12-2 start, and Abdulrahman Mohamed contributed the only two points for Qatar in almost four minutes.

Qatar gradually fought back with free throws gained in the paint. Starting from 8-17, Qatar established a 27-20 advantage with a 19-3 streak from late first quarter to the middle of the second one.

Despite South Korea's endeavor to hit back, Qatar still kept the advantage before the halftime thanks to Clinton Johnson's last second three pointer.

Both team exchanged lead at the beginning of the third quarter, Lee Seounghyun scored eight straight points to help South Korea surpass and keep a two-point margin to the last 12 minutes.

Mohd Mohamed dominated with seven points in a row to lift Qatar to 62-52. South Korea lost their target behind the arc and lost the match 64-69.

South Korea got lost outside by hitting six of 25 three pointer attempts today. Qatar outscored South Korea 31 points on bench performance.

Lee Seounghyun topped South Korea with 19 points and six rebounds while Mohd Mohamed led Qatar with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Endi
