China supports Thailand's efforts to arrest Bangkok bomber

Xinhua, September 28, 2015 Adjust font size:

China supports Thailand in its effort to arrest those responsible for last month's bombing in Bangkok, a foreign ministry spokesman said on Monday.

Media reports said the Thai authorities have apprehended two suspects and that they have both confessed.

"China is watching the investigation progress closely, and keeps in touch with the Thai police," Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei said at a regular press briefing.

Whoever made the blast would be severely punished according to law, Hong said, adding that China is willing to work with the international community to fight crimes of this kind. Endi
