Former Guangdong poverty alleviation chief ousted from CPC

Xinhua, September 27, 2015 Adjust font size:

A former chief in charge of poverty alleviation in south China's Guangdong Province was expelled from the Communist Party of China (CPC) and removed from public office, the disciplinary authority announced late Saturday.

Preliminary investigation by disciplinary authorities has found Mo Dingwei took briberies, abused power to seek benefits for others and offered briberies for getting promoted, the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection said, quoting local authorities.

Mo also attempted to interfere in the investigation, colluding the bribers to fabricate confession and transferring and hiding his huge amount of wealth, according to the CCDI. Judiciary authorities are further investigating his case. Endi
