Man shot dead in busy London street

A man has been shot dead in a street in Hackney in east London on Saturday afternoon, BBC reported.

The victim was 25 years old and was shot in Chatsworth Road in Lower Clapton just after 13:00 local time.

He has not been identified, but police said his next of kin had been informed. Police will schedule a post-mortem.

A man was arrested close to the scene by police on suspicion of murder and has been in custody at an east London police station. Endit
