Iceland's CPI down 0.39 pct between August, September

Iceland's Consumer Price Index (CPI) decreased by 0.39 percent as of the middle of September, according to statistics issued on Friday by Statistics Iceland.

Data showed the CPI in September was 430.6 points, down 0.39 percent compared with 432.3 points in the middle of August.

Among factors influencing the CPI were international airfares that decreased 24.6 percent, the prices of clothing and footwear that rose by 4.4 percent, and the prices of petrol and diesel oil that decreased 5.3 percent.

Price statistics are based on price collection that takes place for at least one week in the middle of each month. Endit
