A glass viewing platform atop a cliff opened to the public on Friday in a scenic area where scenes of the robot movie "Transformers: Age of Extinction" were filmed.

The hanging platform, which is 11 meters wide and 26 meters long, above Karst Valley in Wulong National Geological Park in Chongqing Municipality, is 280 meters off the ground, the equivalent of 100 stories high, according to the Wulong County government.

The park said that it is Asia's largest glass platform on cliff edge and could hold 300 people at the same time.

The platform is made from three layers of reinforced glass.

Before it opened to visitors, ballet dancers performed on it. "It's thrilling to stand on this vertigo-inducing floor. I didn't dare look down," said one of the ballerinas. Endi
