The Philippines smashes Hong Kong, China 101-50 in FIBA Asian Championship

The Philippines recovered from their loss to Palestine at the 2015 FIBA Asia Championship of men's basketball by beating Hong Kong, China 101-50 here on Thursday.
The runner-up of 2013 Championship stormed to a 12-0 lead from the beginning before Cheng Kam Hing scored the first two points for Hong Kong, China with six minutes passed.
The Philippines led by 28-15 after the first period. Hong Kong, China was limited to seven points in the second quarter with Andray Blatche contributed a goaltending.
Jason William had two straight three-pointers to lead a 10-0 streak for the Philippines in the middle of the third quarter as they extended the advantage to 83-38. Hong Kong's six points in the row showed some resilience in the last quarter but the Philippines won the match 101-50.
William had a game-high 21 points for the Philippines with shooting five of 14 three-pointers of the team. Andray Blatche followed with 17 points and eight rebounds.
Chan Slu Wing led Hong Kong, China with 13 points.
"We are more focused after the last game," said Blatche after the match. "We have more open shots, that's the key to victory." Endi
