Germany deports 550 Albanian asylum seekers

The German Embassy in Tirana Wednesday announced that Germany has decided to deport 550 Albanian asylum seekers from Sept. 23 to Oct. 2.

The announcement said Germany started on Sept. 23 to deport 100 people, subsequently 190 on Sept. 24, 70 on Sept. 30 and 190 on Oct. 2.

Germany, now Europe's number one destination for asylum seekers, has been struggling to house and feed the record number of refugees, who are expected to top 500,000 this year.

The German Embassy in this Balkan country ran bold-better ads in newspapers "No economic asylum in Germany."

Germany has got harsher on asylum seekers from Albania and other Balkan nations and prioritized those fleeing from a civil war in Syria. Endi
