Robert Lewandowski donated five goals to flabbergast Wolfsburg 5-1 while Darmstadt beat Bremen 2-1 owing to Sandro Wagner's brace at the 6th round in Bundesliga on Tuesday.

Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski came off the bench to make history by scoring five second half goals within nine minutes. He turned the tides singlehanded against the "Wolves", who were leading thanks to the opener by Daniel Caligiuri until the break.

The German giants controlled the proceedings on the pitch yet the visitors from Wolfsburg broke the deadlock against the run of the game, as Daniel Caligiuri unleashed an unstoppable hammer from sharp angle at the 26th minute.

Bayern remained uninspired but were lucky as Joshua Guilavogui missed the open goal from 56 meters following a moment of madness by goalkeeper Manuel Neuer just before the break.

Bayern coach Josep Guardiola fielded Robert Lewandowski for the second half to smooth the way for the win. The Polish international rewarded his coach for the substitution as Lewandowski staged a clinical performance with five goals within 8 minutes 59 seconds to dismantle hapless "Wolves". The striker scored the fastest hat rick in Bundesliga history, as well as the fastest four goals in one game. He is on top of that, the first substitute who scored more than three goals.

With the sixth win at the sixth match, Bayern climb atop the standings for now and maintain their perfect record. Wolfsburg stay on the third place after suffering their first loss of the season.

Bundesliga newcomers Darmstadt upset Werder Bremen 2-1 thanks to the brace by former Bremen striker Sandro Wagner.

It was all Darmstadt until Bremen scored the opener out of the blue at the 19th minute. Bremen new arrival Aron Johannsson marked his second goal of the season after heading home Theodor Gebre Selassie cross.

The "Lilien" fought back and restored parity when Sandro Wagner converted a foul play penalty from the spot at the 31st minute. Wagner was again in the thick of action as he sealed the 2-1 win with his second goal of the evening in the dying minutes of the game.

With the second loss in row, Bremen slump to the 12th place whereas Darmstadt jump to the 10th position.

Elsewhere, Hamburg snatched a late 1-0 win over newly promoted Ingolstadt on the road. Michael Gregoritsch's late free kick goal reaped the "HSV" the third win of the season.

Vedad Ibisevic's brace against Cologne wrapped Hertha Berlin the third win of the season. The striker broke the spell of a goal drought since January 2014.

The following fixtures complete the 6th round of Bundesliga on Wednesday: Schalke face Frankfurt, Leverkusen host Mainz, Augsburg visit Monchengladbach, Hannover encounter Stuttgart and Hoffenheim clash with Dortmund. Endit
