Third China-CEE education policy dialogue starts in Poland

The third China-Central and Eastern European (CEE) Countries Education Policy Dialogue kicked off here on Monday.

Chinese Deputy Minister of Education Hao Ping, Poland's Minister of Science and Higher Education Lena Kolarska-Bobinska, Chinese Ambassador to Poland Xu Jian and Polish Ambassador to China Miroslaw Gajewski took part in the event.

The Dialogue, organized by Poland's Ministry of Science and Higher Education, is supposed to be a platform for discussion and experience exchange. Among the participants, there are university deans, as well as most prolific and eminent researchers from several countries.

Hao said that cooperation in the field of education and research is a milestone contributing to increase economic and political cooperation between China and CEE countries.

He added it can help elevate the relations to a new level and marks a new, stable pattern of cooperation and dialogue.

Afterwards, the ministers of education and experts discussed topics on development of international education, assessing methods, students and education personnel exchange, higher education and the needs of market, cooperation between universities and business entities etc.

During the event, a Memorandum of Understanding between the European University Sports Association (EUSA) and the Federation of University Sports of China (FUCS) was signed.

Another important event will be the Poland-China Rectors' Forum, held on Tuesday.

Poland is seeing China as its priority market as far as scientific and educational programs are concerned. The forum will be a chance to increase cooperation in students and teaching personnel exchange, introducing new initiatives, such as conducting common study courses. Endit
